  • Michelle Jenkins

    Kinder LCC

     mjenkins@bridgecharter.com

Most of Michelle’s Teaching Career was spent in The Central Valley and Central Coast of California. While teaching in California she used many Guided Language Acquisition Strategies to support her Second Language Learners from 2nd to 8th grade. She also taught 3rd grade in Centralia, Washington and was a Title 1 teacher in Portland before moving to beautiful Bend!  Bend has been her home since 2008.  Here she worked for the Redmond School District and taught 4th grade for 6 years.  For the last few years she has been able to stay at home and raise her two youngest daughters (ages 3 and 5) and found she has a passion for these very young learners! The “Wonder Years” as she likes to call them is such a special and short time in our children’s lives so she feels very privileged to be teaching Kindergarten at Bridge Charter Academy this year! When not teaching Michelle can be found hanging out with her family, having tea parties with her girls, hiking with the family dog Jack, floating the river, or exploring our beautiful area!
